Smart Duck Tutoring is a online only science tutoring business aimed at ages 11 to 18, offering GCSE biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as A-level biology. Tutoring is a personalized educational support service where a tutor assists students in understanding and mastering specific subjects or skills. One-on-one sessions and/or group sessions are on offer, where the tutor tailors their teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the student, helping them to improve their academic performance and build confidence. About Me

Hello, My name is Emily Shoesmith-Dean.

I am a science teacher with an PGCE and QTS. I have taught at a range of schools and abilities. Prior to qualifying as a teacher I tutored A-level and GCSE students.

I have a first honours degree in Biology from Royal Holloway university however love to teach Chemistry and Physics too.

My favourite lessons to teach are of course practical lessons, with my favourite practical's being dissections of any kind. Though tutoring here is online, I endeavor to make all sessions interactive and engaging with ranges of demonstrations and guided work.

If I am not talking about the world of science, then you will find me SCUBA diving, running or climbing mountains in my spare time.

I am passionate about supporting students to achieve success in their exams and hope that you chose me to guide you on that journey.

All tutoring sessions will be conducted online via Microsoft teams, providing flexibility and convenience for both students and tutors Online tutoring allows for a comfortable learning environment, where students can engage from the safety of their homes.
